The peak is named after a local princess, Laila Khan, and is often referred to as “Golden Peak” due to the stunning golden hues it displays when sunlight hits its face.

Situated in the remote and rugged Hushe Valley, accessing Laila Peak requires a multi-day trek. The ascent is classified as technical, necessitating advanced mountaineering skills. Climbers typically spend 7-10 days on the journey, navigating glaciers, steep ice walls, and exposed ridges. From the summit, one can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of surrounding peaks and valleys, including the iconic Trango Towers.

The peak has attracted some of the world's most accomplished climbers, such as the legendary Reinhold Messner. First ascended by a German-Austrian team in 1979, Laila Peak continues to be a sought-after challenge for experienced climbers seeking both difficulty and reward.

Travel Plans

Day-01: Islamabad and Rawalpindi

Welcome at Islamabad airport and transfer to hotel. Afternoon proceed for city tour of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, which includes famous Faisal Mosque, Shakar Parian, Pakistan monument, Damen Koh, Lok Versa, Museum..

Day-02: Drive from Islamabad to Chilas

Drive to Naran 6-7 hours 239 km, after lunch continue drive to Chilas 3-4 hours 113.3 km via Babusar Pass 4,173 m. Babusar Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4,173 m (13,691 ft) above the sea level. The pass is the highest point in the Kaghan Valley, Pakistan. The pass connects the Kaghan Valley via the Thak Nala with Chilas on the Karakorum Highway. It’s one of the famous hair pinned roads in the world.

Day-03: Drive from Chilas to Skardu

Day-04: Drive from Skardu to Hushe

Day-05:Trek from Hushe to Saicho

Day-06: Trek from Saicho to Laila Peak base camp

Day-07-17: Climbing Days

Day-18: Trek from Base Camp to Saicho

Day-19: Trek to Hushe and drive to Skardu

Day-20: Fly from Skardu to Islamabad

Day-21: Free day in Islamabad

Day-22: Fly back Home
